An Australian Delegation discussed development cooperation with Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA)

On 18 May 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed Ms. Jenny Da Ran Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Development Policy and Programs, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia (DFAT) and delegation Mr. Cheevindh Nathalang, Deputy Director-General of TICA, was also present during the meeting.

Both sides discussed potential development cooperation between Thailand and Australia under various frameworks, including: (1) Partnerships for Infrastructure (P41), (2) Mekong-Australia Partnership (MAP) and (3) ACMECS particularly on Human Resource Development (HRD) through scholarship and training programs.

The Director-General invited representatives from Australia to participate in the Global South-South Development Expo 2022 (GSSD Expo 2022), to be held from 12 to 14 September 2022 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok Thailand. This will be the eleventh GSSD Expo which is the first ever GSSD Expo to be held in the Asia-Pacific region.
