9 August 2019, Mr. Banchong Amornchewin, the Deputy Director- General of TICA together with Thai expert and TICA staff visited Tonga to inspect the delivery of Thai house construction materials and equipment to be assembled and set as a New Theory exhibition centre under the Agricultural Development Cooperation Project based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as part of a collaboration between the Kingdom of Tonga and the Kingdom of Thailand. This activity is one of the activities under the project implementation that includes developing New Theory farming, dispatching Thai experts and volunteers to work at the project in Tonga and conducting trainings and study visits to Thailand for Tongan youth and farmers of Tonga. On this occasion, the Palace Office conducted a ground breaking ceremony to consecrate the site and foundation of the Thai exhibition centre.
