On 2 September 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired the 2nd Thailand–Chile Technical Cooperation Meeting with Mr. Enrique O'Farrill Julian, Executive Director of the Chilean Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AGCID), via videoconference.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division; Ms. Chatchasaran Lertkiatwong, Director of the International Development Cooperation Division; Lt. Gunpirom Vichathorn, Minister Counsellor and Senior Foreign Service Officer, representing the Latin American Affairs Division, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Santiago, Mr. David Hansen, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Chile in Thailand, and representatives of relevant agencies.

The meeting considered and endorsed the Thailand–Chile Development Cooperation Programme for 2026–2028, covering three priority areas: (1) Finance and Anti-Money Laundering; (2) Agriculture and Food Security; and (3) Innovation.

Both sides agreed to commence the implementation of the Workshop on Strategic and Financial Intelligence in November 2026. The workshop will be the first activity under the new three-year Development Cooperation Programme and will provide an opportunity for relevant Thai and Chilean agencies to exchange knowledge, expertise, and experiences.
