On 29 June 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of the Children and Youth Development ‘Expanding Opportunities and Equity Beyond Frontiers’ in Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 5th Circle Birthday Anniversary 2nd April 2015 and gave an honorary lecture entitled ‘My Experience in Children and Youth Development’. Participants included General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, Admiral Narong Pipatanasai, Minister of Education, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Associate Professor Kamjorn Tatiyakavee, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Senior officials from the Ministry of Education of 14 countries including Ministers and Deputy Ministers, members of the Diplomatic Corps of participating countries and Latin American countries as observers, the Director-General of TICA and staff, along with over 1,000 other participants. The Conference was held at Chulalongkorn University’s Main Auditorium.
The Children and Youth Development Conference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bureau of the Royal Household from 29th June – 1st July 2015. The conference aimed to provide a forum for sharing information, experiences and knowledge on children and youth development among teachers, project coordinators and supporters from countries that participated in Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s projects.
