On 24 August 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the "TICA Connect", the event which is the latest platform for exchange and sharing knowledge on development diplomacy for the first time at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was initiated by Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and aimed to promote Thailand's international cooperation with others countries, strengthen the partnership between TICA and its partners and stakeholders, and be a platform for exchange and sharing knowledge, experience and best practice on international cooperation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.

However, the first TICA Connect had one more special objective which was to launch the new logo of TICA. The logo represents the collaboration with all stakeholders by showing a string of 4 jigsaws connected to one another. At the far left is a small pie in red linked to a half circle in blue, which in turn is connected to a three-quarter circle in red, contiguous is a full circle in blue. It is meant to simplify a complete circle of collaboration.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Chaisiri Anamarn, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, gave an opening remarks emphasizing on the Royal Thai Government's strong commitment towards sustainable development by working in partnership with all stakeholders. To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which contains 17 Goals and 169 Targets in 2030, Thailand is keen to push for the transformation to the global agenda into action through both South-South and North-South-South Cooperation. And TICA is the key Agency to promote sustainable development cooperation with partners around the world.
