Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the Thai delegation to attend the Tokyo International Conference for African Development (TICAD) VI during 26 - 28 August 2016 in Nairobi, the Republic of Kenya. The meeting was co-hosted by the Government of Japan, the African Union Commission, the United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa, the United Nations Development Programme, and The World Bank. 
 
As part of a side event, a TICA-JICA booth was set up to showcase Thailand’s partnership with Japan in delivering development cooperation to numerous African countries to promote capacity building and human resource development in this region. Participants witnessed the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy (SEP)’s application and success stories in Thailand and Thailand’s determination to share SEP to other countries. They were also welcomed to propose development cooperation projects in various areas including agriculture, community development and the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy (SEP).
