On 7-8 May 2018, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and his delegation, visited the application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) communities in Burirum province during the 3rd mobile cabinet meeting 2018.
The minister and his delegation visited the application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) in two models 1) Sai Yao Community, the model of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) community for Sustainable Community-Based Agro tourism. 2.) Mechai Pattana School, the model of an alternative education applies Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) as a framework by centering on students in order to promote creativity development, self-reliance and lifelong learning.
The study visit is part of the mission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in promoting Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as an alternative approach to attain Sustainable Development Goals (SEP for SDGs). It is also part of Thailand’s international affairs in implementing its international development cooperation bilateral and trilateral with international partners to boost between Thailand’s creative role in international arena.
