On 5 Febuary 2024, Mr. Wattanawit Gajaseni, Deputy Director-General, acting Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed Mr. Kamimura Eiji, Mayor of Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, and delegates, on the occasion of paying courtesy call. Mr. Suzuki Kazuya, Chief Representative of JICA Thailand Office, and officers attended at TICA meeting room number 4.

The Mayor of Hokuto City expressed his gratitude to TICA dispatching Ms. Unchaleeporn Prisawong, the Friends from Thailand (FFT) volunteer who works as a Tourism Coordinator at Tourism Division of the Industry and Tourism Department of Hokuto City Office, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. The Deputy Director-General of TICA also expressed his gratitude to the Mayor of Hokuto City for the warm welcoming to TICA delegation that visited Hokuto City last year, and for the welcoming ceremony of Ms. Unchaleeporn, the volunteer, recently gathered in Hokuto City.

The Deputy Director-General of TICA is confident that the volunteer will contribute to promote Hokuto City’s tourism attractions, and will play a significant role in promoting better understanding between Thai and Japanese people. Moreover, both sides also discussed about further cooperation between TICA and Hokuto City.
