On 31 July 2024, in the morning, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to the United Nations in New York paid a study visit to Samutsakhon Hospital in Samut Sakhon province to learn about Thailand’s Universal Health Coverage scheme and medical services for migrant workers that very much similar to Thai people.

In the afternoon, the SIDS Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives paid a visit the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park in Phetchaburi province to learn about methods of energy conservation and environmental management. They also went to see man-made mangrove forest that planted for soil restoration and prevention of coastal erosion. They appreciated and thought that the methods can apply to the context of their countries.
