On 22 April 2024, Mr. Wattanawit Gajaseni, Deputy Director-General, Acting Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), received a courtesy call from Mr. Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measure in Asia (CICA). Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division including TICA officers also attended the meeting at Reception Room 4, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

On this occasion, both sides discussed the future cooperation between TICA and CICA. Secretary General of CICA expressed his gratitude to TICA for having been organizing training activities for CICA member countries, which were of great benefit, and this year there will be a course on sustainable tourism based on BCG Economy Model. He encouraged TICA to partner with CICA’s members to implement development project in 5 areas of CICA’s cooperation namely, Military-Political Dimension, New Challenges and Threats, Economic Dimension, Environmental Dimension, Human Dimension, to increase role and visibility of Thailand in the region and among CICA’s member countries. Deputy Director-General and Acting Director-General of TICA expressed readiness to cooperate with CICA on cost sharing basis in human resources development for the third countries, as well as in other fields that Thailand has expertise in, such as Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP), health, food, and environment security, and BCG Economy Model.
