On 2 July 2025, Mrs. Pimwadee Sovaratanapong, Deputy Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the officials from TICA, attended the virtual meeting with Dr. Ali Al Ghamdi, Advisor to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), and the officials from KSRelief, together with H.E. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh, Associate Professor Dr. Rom Chiranuwat, Deputy Secretary-General of the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. the Princess Mother, and the representatives from the Foundation.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange information on humanitarian assistance initiatives between KSRelief and the Prostheses Foundation. KSRelief operates under the supervision of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with headquarters in Riyadh and branches in other countries such as Yemen, Sudan, and Syria. While the Prostheses Foundation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of persons with disabilities through the provision of mobile prosthetic clinics, capacity-building initiatives, and academic knowledge exchange with domestic and international institutions.

Both sides took this opportunity to explore the potential for future collaboration in delivering support to persons with disabilities in countries where KSRelief maintains a presence, drawing on insightful input and recommendations from the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh.

This initial discussion marks a significant step toward for advancing the well-being of persons with disabilities, especially in vulnerable areas. TICA serves as the coordinating agency to promote its role in facilitating the development partners’ project implementation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
