Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency welcomed Participants attending Seminar on China’s Development Model

On 9 January 2024, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered a welcoming remarks to participants attending a seminar on China’s Development Model co-hosted by TICA, the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development, Peking University, and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand at Centra by Centara Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre. This seminar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of China and its development policy, especially South-South Cooperation, and China’s economic development. Moreover, the participants can exchange views and ideas on development cooperation and explore possibilities for future cooperation with Chinese counterparts. There were around 40 attendents from the Thai relevant authorities such as Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of
Agriculture and Cooperatives.

In her welcoming remarks, Deputy Director-General of TICA shared Thailand’s development policy and reaffirmed TICA’s readiness to work with Chinese counterparts,especially China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) of the People's Republic of China, to achieve the 2030 agenda. Besides, TICA and CIDCA has recently concluded the Memorandum of Understanding on Human Resource Development which will herald in a new era of bilateral development cooperation. TICA looks forward to the signing of this MOU at the earliest opportunity.
