On 24 November 2023, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Agency (TICA), presided over the closing ceremony of the International Training Course on Sexually Transmitted Infections Case Management Skills (STIs), held at Holiday Inn Silom Hotel, Bangkok, during 13 – 24 November 2023. This Workshop is one of the activities under the International Capacity Building on HIV-related Stigma and Discrimination Reduction and STIs Services in Healthcare Settings Project, which is a trilateral cooperation project under TICA – USAID Strategic Partnership.

On this occasion, Mrs. Arunee awarded certificates to the participants and expressed her appreciation to USAID and Department of Disease Control for their unwavering support throughout the training course. This cooperation signifies the commitment and willingness to drive forward South-South and triangular cooperation to attain Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 3, and to achieve ambitious goals to see no new HIV Infection by 2030 under the National Strategy to End AIDS 2017 – 2030. Mrs. Arunee also extended her congratulations to all participants and highlighted the importance of knowledge and hands-on experience in STIs prevention and control from this workshop to respond the needs and address health challenges in accordance with each country’s different conditions and contexts.
