On February 21, 2024, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), on behalf of the Director-General of TICA, attended the Annual Board of Trustees Meeting of the Kenan Foundation of Asia at Sheraton Grand Sukumvit Hotle Bangkok. The meeting reviewed the work progress and achievements of the Foundation in the previous year and discussed work plans and strategies to implement development projects in Thailand and the Mekong region in the upcoming years.

The Kenan Foundation Asia was founded in Bangkok in 1996 with the support of the Royal Thai Government, USAID, the William R. Kenan Jr. Charitable Trust and the University of North Carolina. Since then, the Foundation has been promoting programmes aimed at strengthening capacity of Thai communities and those in Mekong Regions. Their expertise lies in the area of STEM education, supporting MSMEs in digital era and inclusive community. The Foundation is collaborating with TICA in the Training Project on Building Resilient MSMEs for the Digital Economy across Lower Mekong Sub-region under the framework of Strategic Partnership for Development Cooperation in Asia between TICA with the US government by USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia (USAID/RDMA) as well
