On 8 December 2025, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) attended OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) Meeting on the Peer Review of Australia, held at the OECD Headquarters in Paris, France. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Carsten Staur, Chair of the DAC, while the Australian delegation was led by Mr. Jamie Isbister, Deputy Secretary for Development, Multilateral and Europe at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia (DFAT).

During the meeting, the Deputy Director-General presented Thailand’s observer report on the Peer Review of Australia and reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to strengthening its collaboration with the Committee. Both the DAC Chair and the Deputy Secretary of DFAT commended Thailand’s active engagement throughout the review process, particularly its valuable observations, experience sharing, and perspectives as an emerging donor from Southeast Asia.

Prior to the meeting, the Deputy Director-General held bilateral discussions with the DAC Chair and the Deputy Secretary of DFAT, during which she reiterated Thailand’s readiness to co-host the regional dialogue between Southeast Asian development providers and the DAC in 2026. She also met with Mr. Rolf Schwarz, Head of the OECD Development Co-operation Directorate, to discuss preparations for the workshop on the collection, integration, and reporting of Official Development Assistance data, which TICA will host in January 2026, in line with the work plan of Thailand – OECD Country Programme Phase II.
