On 7 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), received H.E. Mr. Diego Arango Pezet, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to the Kingdom of Thailand, who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of his assumption of office. The meeting was held at the Reception room, TICA. Lt. Gunpirom Vichathorn, Minister Counsellor, and relevant officials also in attendance.

During the dicussions, both sides exchanged views on prioritized areas of cooperation to be incorporated into the new Three-Year Thailand-Panama Development Cooperation Programme for 2027–2029. They also discussed the preparation of a draft MoU on Development Cooperation between Thailand and Panama, which will serve as a framework for development cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, their discussions covered cooperation in human resource development, during which the TICA provided information on the Annual International Training Course (AITC) and Thailand International Postgraduate Programme (TIPP) scholarships to the Ambassador.
