On 17 August 2022 at TICA Office, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, made a contribution in the amount of 10,000,000 Baht to Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of Mekong Institute (MI), to support MI’s operation in the year 2022. Mr. Cheevindh Nathalang, Deputy Director-General of TICA, and Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division also attended the ceremony.

On this occasion, the Director-General of TICA held a discussion with Executive Director of MI about ways and means for further cooperation to strengthen Thailand’s role in development cooperation for the sustainability of Mekong sub-region.

In addition, Executive Director of MI showed off the ASEAN Prize 2021 which MI was awarded by ASEAN Secretariat as a tribute to its contribution in promoting ASEAN awareness and strengthening regional cooperation towards sustainable development and economic growth, especially for the Mekong Sub-region.
