On 13 September 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), held a bilateral meeting with Mr. William Tan, Director-General of Technical Cooperation Directorate (TCD) during their participation in the Global South-South Development Expo (GSSD Expo 200) at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, as well as representatives from TCD, Ms. Yuin-Lyn, Deputy Director, and Ms. Charis CHENG, Technical Cooperation Officer, were also present at the meeting.

Both sides exchanged experiences and challenges on international development cooperation implementation during COVID-19. They also discussed the areas of cooperation in the future, including smart city, BCG, climate change and possibility to have a joint initiative to foster collaborative training course under ACMECS Pillar 3 (Smart and Sustainable ACMECS). On this occasion, Singapore side expressed its readiness to host the 10th technical cooperation meeting between Thailand and Singapore in January 2023 as well as invited Thai side to attend 30th Anniversary of Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) on 20 October 2022 in Singapore. In addition, Singapore side proposed Thai side to co-organize a side event at The 2023 session of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of SDG Implementation, in New York in July 2023
