On 12 September 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Ron Hartman, Director for Global Engagement, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) during their participation in the Global South-South Development Expo (GSSD Expo 2022) at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, as well as representatives from IFAD Ms. Ama Brandford-Arthur, Senior Partnership Officer, and Ms. Akiko Muto, Partnership Officer, were also present at the meeting.

Both sides discussed ways to collaborate on south-south and trilateral development cooperation, particularly on the agricultural sector in ASEAN and Africa and agreed to continue the discussion at the working level to draft out the plans of cooperation.
