On 6 October 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed Mr. Héctor Conde Almeida, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand, at the TICA office. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, and TICA staff were also present at the meeting.

Both sides followed up the results of the development cooperation meeting between Thailand and Cuba and agreed to implement the pending activities in eco-tourism and public health.
In addition, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the Agreement for Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Republic of Cuba, both sides will formally restate their commitment to technical cooperation and their determination to explore possibilities for future trilateral partnership.

Furthermore, to celebrate 65 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Cuba, the Ambassador invited Director-General of TICA to visit Cuba in 2023 to explore Cuba’s know-how and expertise in various sectors in order to help identify suitable areas for development cooperation between the two countries.
