Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), attended the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Emerging Development Partners (EDPs) and the South-South Cooperation Day from 10-12 September 2025 in Armenia, Colombia, upon the invitation of the Agencia Presidencial de Cooperación Internacional de Colombia (APC Colombia) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
The Director-General shared his remarks at the 2nd Annual Meeting of the EDPs under the topic “Structuring for Developing Countries”, presenting Thailand’s approaches and experiences in development cooperation aligned with the needs of partner countries and emphasizing multi-stakeholder engagement to promote development. He highlighted the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SEP for SDGs) across various regions worldwide.
He also participated as a panelist in the session “What Unites Us as the Global South? Dialogues for Transformative Cooperation”, offering an Asian perspective on South-South and triangular cooperation. He discussed approaches to enhancing interregional cooperation and leveraging technical and financial cooperation mechanisms to improve the development effectiveness of Global South countries.
Furthermore, the Director-General took the opportunity during the meeting to hold bilateral discussions to promote cooperation with Chile, Costa Rica, Uruguay, and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).
