On 21 March 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), hosted a luncheon to bid farewell to Mr. SUZUKI Kazuya, Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand, and welcome Mr. SAKUDO Shunsuke, who has recently assumed duty as Chief Representative of JICA Thailand, succeeding Mr. SUZUKI whose tenure is due on 28 March 2025. Also presented at the luncheon were Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, Mrs. Chachsaran Lertkiattiwong, Director of International Development Cooperation Division, Mr. Grisada Phakakarn, Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division, as well as JICA and TICA staff.

Director-General of TICA expressed his appreciation to Mr. SUZUKI for his active role over the past three years, which has been instrumental in supporting technical cooperation and laid a solid foundation for the strong bilateral relations between Thailand and Japan. Furthermore, he reaffirmed TICA’s commitment to working closely with Mr. SAKUDO to further enhance cooperation in advancing sustainable development in the Mekong Sub-region. In return, Mr. SUZUKI thanked TICA for its firm cooperation and strong partnership throughout his almost-3-year term in Thailand.
