On 2 December 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) on behalf of the Thai government made the 2023 annual contribution to Thailand – United States Educational Foundation (TUSEF)  in the amount of 15,000,000 Baht to Ms. Benjawan Ubonsri, TUSEF’s Executive Director to support TUSEF scholarship program. 

The TUSEF scholarship programme is the binational education program between the government of the United States and the government of Thailand.  The objective of the programme is to foster cultural understanding, friendships and cooperation between the U.S. and Thailand and between the U.S. and the ASEAN region.  Each year there are around 35 Thai grantees selected to study/research in the U.S. and around 35 American grantees selected to teach/research in Thailand.    

Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) has been supporting TUSEF’s operation programme as part of its policy to strengthen human resource development, which is the core of development.  The outcome of the HRD programme will contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
