On 12 June 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) welcomed Mr. Michal Mincel, Director of Czech Development Agency (CZDA), during his visit to Thailand. Mr. Pavel Pitel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Thailand, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, and relevant officials from both sides were also present.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on their international development cooperation programmes and discussed the possibility of development cooperation between TICA and CZDA, which is co-financing NGOs such as People In Need and its development works on the ground at people level. DG. Ureerat also shared information on Thailand’s engagement and the role of TICA in the development cooperation especially in Thailand’s neighboring countries, and suggested a pilot activity such as joint training for Mekong sub-region or ASEAN, in the areas of mutaul interests, for example, agricultural cooperatives, post harvest and processing products, health care and medical services.
