On 9 October 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), handed over of the Equipment for the Transit and Reception Centre for Victims of Trafficking and Other Vulnerable Groups in Banteay Meanchey Province (TRC) to H.E. Mr. Hun Saroeun, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Thailand.

This Handover of Equipment is a follow-up activity from the official Handover Ceremony of the TRC by H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, to Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia on 28 September 2023. It is also one of the main components of the TRC Project implemented by TICA in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to provide necessary equipment for the function of the Centre as well as vocational training for the victims of trafficking as wel asll the vulberable groups to ensure their sustainable reintegration into the society and break the cycle of human trafficking.

As of now, TICA is on the process delivering the equipment to the Centre to ensure that the TRC is operational at the earliest occasion.
