On 17 July 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed Dr. Srinivas Tata, Director of the Strategy and Programme Management Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of assuming his duties, at Meeting Room 2, TICA. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, and relevant staff from both sides.

During the meeting, ESCAP Director expressed his appreciation to TICA for being a valued partner and for its continued support of ESCAP's work.  Director-General of TICA also thanked for ESCAP contribution to the 11th TICA Connect which will be conducted on 24 July 2026 at Vites Samosorn, Ministry of Forign Affairs. The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the area of South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC), through the organization of the Asia-Pacific Directors General (APDG) Forum for South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) and the Annual Meeting of Emerging Development Partners (EDPs). The discussions also covered support for capacity-building programmes on Results-Based Management (RBM) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), as well as the participation of TICA officials in the ESCAP Visiting Fellows for South-South Cooperation Programme. These initiatives aim to promote the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices among development partners in the region.
