On 8 December 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency, and H.E. Mrs. Shirley Dennise Aguilar Barrera, Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to Thailand, signed a Letter of Intent expressing their intention to support the process leading to the future signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Thailand and Guatemala on Development Cooperation. The signing ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Carlos Ramiro Martínez Alvarado, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
