On 29 December 2022, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division of TICA met with Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Counselor, Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of People’s Republic of China to discuss development cooperation between Thailand and PRC.

Both sides agreed to promote development cooperation between the two countries, particularly in Human Resources Devlopment (HRD). Counselor Zhang referred to discussion between H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand and H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, during the 29th APEC Summit held in Thailand between 18-19 November 2022, in which both leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in potential areas such as education, public health and poverty eradication to enhance livelihood of people through agricultural development and technology. In this regard, both sides expressed their willingness for further discussion to advance the development cooperation between the two countries.
