On Monday, 5th August 2024, Mrs. Charintip Yodthasan, Director of International Development Cooperation Division, Thailand International Development Agency TICA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, welcomed 21 medical personnels from Dawei Hospital and nearby hospitals, Republic of the Union of Myanmar who attended a training “Workshop on Hospital Preparation for Mass Casualty Incident Response” between 5 – 7 August 2024 at De Prime Rangnam Hotel, Bangkok.
The participants attended lectures and training workshop from medical experts from Medical Department, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and representative from the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) as well as exchanged viewpoints and experiences with Thai officers in the field of public health cooperation in order to further enhance the quality and efficiency of mass casualty incident and medical disasters response in the future.
This workshop is part the cooperation plan initiated by TICA to build awareness and preparedness for disaster and emergency management along the Thailand-Myanmar Border Project.
