On 1 February 2023, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of Mekong Institute (MI) paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) on the occasion of new year 2023.

 

Executive Director of MI took this opportunity to brief DG Ureerat on the work plan 2023 including the meeting of Governing Board 1/2023 in July 2023 at Khun Ming, the role of MI as back office to support ACMECS interim secretariat the development implementation with development partners and UN agencis (UNOSSC UNESCAP) and the Mid-term review of the implementation of the MI Strategic Plan 2021-2025. In ths regard, DG TICA expressed her appreciation to Executive Director of MI of raising visibility of MI among the regional and international organisations. She also urged MI as back office of ACMECS interim secretariat to strengthen the collaboration under ACMECS Framework.
