On 11st November 2020 HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya presided over the first “Marine Conservation of Coral and Marine Life Activity”, held by the Committee of Marine Conservation Project of Coral Reefs and Marine Life of the Thai Sea under the initiative of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya at Dongtan Gulf, Sattahip, Chon Buri. Mrs.Charintip Yosthasan, Director of Thai Cooperation Branch ll, together with 5 TICA representatives, attended the event. Other line agencies attended are the Ministry of Interior, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, the Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, the Department of Fisheries, the Department of Tourism and Singsamut School.

The activities consist of coral planting, sea turtles and fish releasing, exhibition and the visit to Father’s Boat ‘Patrol Boat 91’ at Dongtan Gulf Historical Park, and garbage cleaning at seashore and under the sea. The objective of the activities is to raise awareness and strengthen marine environment conservation for sustainability.
