Minister attached to TICA presided over the Discussion in Aquarium : Commemoration of the International Day of Zero Waste & Award Ceremony in Thailand

On 4 April 2025, Lieutenant Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) delivered an opening remarks at the “Discussion in Aquarium : Commemoration of the International Day of Zero Waste & Award Ceremony in Thailand”, hosted by UN-Habitat, Thailand Office. High-level participants included Mrs. Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic Türkiye to Thailand, and Mr. Srinivasa Popuri, Deputy Regional Representative of UN-Habitat.

Lieutenant Sorawud reiterated the Thai Government’s commitment to zero waste approach and Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model for the ultimate goal of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The diplomatic event is a series of last year’s collaboration between TICA and UN-Habitat, in partnership with United Nations Environment Programme and United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Thailand to hold a seminar titled “Towards a Greener Future : Thailand’s Zero Waste Practices” on 29 March 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
