On 21 June 2024, Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) attended and delivered opening remarks at “KOICA Partner Organization Workshop” which was organized by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Thailand Office. Besides, Mr. Hahm Jeong-han, Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand also delivered his speech at this event to welcome representatives from academic institutions received Korea Overseas Volunteers (KOV).

The Minister attached to TICA has congratulated on the 66^th Anniversary of the established diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Republic of Korea (ROK) this year (2024), and will celebrate its 40^th Anniversary of Strategic Partnership in development cooperation between the two countries by next year. He also emphasized the importance of development cooperation partnership between Thailand and ROK in enhancing people-to-people connectivity and chievement of the sustainable development goals, in particular through the World Friends Korea (WFK) programme which foster not only knowledge sharing and cultural exchange but also deepens mutual understanding between the two countries.

In addition, the workshop aimed to strengthen and promote the collaboration between KOICA Thailand Office, TICA, and academic institutes. Furthermore, the meeting exchanged views, experiences and good practices which enhance the effective implementation of KOV programme in Thailand.  The worskshop was held at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok.
