On 19 February 2024, Lieutenant (Mr.) Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) together with Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, and representatives from the Department of Skill Development of Thailand and all relevant agencies in the IMT-GT Working Group on Human Resource Development (WGHRD) of Indonesia and Malaysia as well as from the Center for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation or CIMT attended the 17th IMT-GT Strategic Planning Meeting (SPM): Working Group on Human Resource Development Breakout Session Meeting via video conference.

In the said meeting, Lieutenant Sorawut as a representative of TICA which is the main coordinating agency of Thailand’s WGHRD, and those of Indonesia’s and Malaysia’s WGHRD have jointly reported progress of activities and reviewed operating results in 2023 and proposed new activities in 2024 to be in line with the Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026, Including acknowled the results of various important meetings to drive the IMT-GT freamwork in the next phase. The Meeting noted that there will be consecutive meetings within 2024 namely the 17th IMT-GT Strategic Planning Meeting: SPM (Plenary Session) during 25-26 March 2024 in Indonesia and the 14th IMT-GT Working Group on Human Resource Development (WGHRD) Meeting in August 2024 in Malaysia.
