On 10 June 2024, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General assigned by the Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Mrs. Eleonora Betancur, Director-General of Presidential Agency for International Cooperation of Colombia (APC – Colombia), co-hosted the 2nd Consultation on Technical Cooperation between Thailand and Colombia alongside the Development Leaders Conference 2024 at the InterContinental Jimbaran Bali Resort, Bali, Indonesia.  Relevant TICA and APC-Colombia officers also attended the meeting.

At this meeting, both sides reviewed the results and progresses of the 2020 – 2022 Development Cooperation Programme between Thailand and Colombia and agreed to formulate the new 3-year Development Cooperation Programme, which will be implemented in 2025 to 2027. This year, TICA and APC-Colombia will continue to work closely to finalize project proposals under the Programme in four important cooperation sectors, namely, (1) Sustainable Agriculture, (2) Climate Action, (3) Creative Economy, and (4) Human Resource Development. TICA and APC-Colombia will work on proposals from Thai and Colombian agencies, as indicated on agreed sectors of cooperation under the new 3-year development cooperation programme.

In addition, both sides agreed to have an Action Plan as a reference document for the Programme’s implementation. The Action Plan will be an important document between TICA and APC-Colombia which outlines implementation on various dimensions, such as cost-sharing arrangement and monitoring and evaluation process. TICA and APC-Colombia will exchange the draft Action Plan for both sides’ approval before proceeding with the next steps.
