Thailand organized Training Course on “Local Product Development Focused on the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) Initiative” under the Two-Year Thailand-Mongolia Development Cooperation Programme (2024-2025) during 15-27 June 2025

On 16 June 2025, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division (Opening Ceremony) and on 27 June 2025, Ms. Pin Sridurongkatum, Secretary of the Department (Closing Ceremony) represented Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) in attending the opening and closing ceremonies of the training course on “Local Product Development Focused on the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) Initiative” under the Two-Year Thailand-Mongolia Development Cooperation Programme (2024-2025). In this regard, Mr. Warong Sangmuang, Deputy Director-General of Community Development Department (CDD), presided over the ceremony, which was also presented by Mr. Nopparat Thamrongsap, Director of the Planning Division, CDD, at Best Western Plus Wanda Gand Hotel.

In this occasion, both representatives of TICA welcomed and congratulated the 13 participants from Mongolia and thanked CDD for organizing the said training course and also continued collaboration as a trusted partner of TICA. They emphasized the importance of community-level economic development through the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) project, which is a best practice of Thailand that has been recognized internationally. Throughout the training programme, participants from relevant agencies of Mongolia exchanged policy-level and implementation through study visits to the Thai OTOP development value chain and participated in the OTOP Midyear 2025 event in Bangkok. This cooperation shows the importance of capacity building of human resources and enhance the relevant agencies to promote and develop the community-level economy, as well as promoting cooperation and stengthening friendship between Thailand and Mongolia.
