On July 24, 2024, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, on behalf of Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) attended the Executive Board Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) No.2/2024, chaired by Dr. Tej Bunnag, the president of the APCD Foundation, at the APCD Center, Bangkok.

The Executive Board acknowledged, with satisfaction, the implementation of APCD’s activities on empowering persons with disabilities in both Thailand and countries in Asia and Pacific from  March to July 2024. The successful activities included the Disability-Inclusive Business (DIB) and Training, 60+ Plus Bakery & Chocolate Café Shop and APCD 60+Plus Kitchen by CP which has been serving as both training centers and a source of income for persons with disabilities, cooperation between APCD and national and international agencies and the civil society.  In collaboration with TICA, APCD had been organizing training for Persons with Disabilities in ASEAN under trilateral cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).  In addition, APCD is interested in conducting training courses on the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) for Persons with Disabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.  At this occasion, the Chairman expressed his gratitude to TICA for requesting support for vehicles under the KOICA small grant aid project and equipment for training for persons with disabilities from the Turkish government to APCD.
