Thailand International Cooperation Agency or TICA together with Pollution Control Department organised the training course on Dealing and Raising Awareness of Air Pollution, under the Project on Enhancing Air Quality Management to Reduce the Levels of PM2.5 in Myanmar between 22 to 24 April 2024 at Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom province. There are 20 Myanmar officers from various PM2.5 concerned department, Forest Department, Myanmar Fire Service Department, Environmental Conservation Department and Department of Agriculture, attanded this trainning namely. This training aims to strengthen knowledge about policy and haze pollution management in Thailand and share the PM2.5 current situation in Myanmar.

The training consists of 3 different activities including (1) the lectured about Policy development for air quality management and hotspot report by using technology by related departments of Thailand in 22 April 2024, (2) the field visit at Thung Thamna, Sam Phran, Nakhon Pathom province, which the main purposes of this visiting are leaning about the zero burning management and utilising the agricultural wastes to produce manure and fertilizer in 23 April 2024, and (3) PM2.5 situation discussion in 24 April 2024. During the training, Myanmar officers are interested in zero burning management and manufacturing manure from fermented agricultural wastes since they can be applied in Myanmar context which faces the same problem as Thailand.
