On 3 October 2024, Mrs. Pimwadee Sovaratanapong, Acting Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Mr. Ryoichi KAWABE, Senior Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Thailand Office, jointly presided over the Handover Ceremony of nine (9) Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs) held at TICA, Government Complex.

At the ceremony, the JOCVs were handed over to (1) Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; (2) Department of Community Development, Ministry of Interior; (3) Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Ministry of Education; and (4) Ministry of Public Health.

The JOCVs in the ceremony will work for 1 - 2 years, in these 8 fields:
(1) Ceramics, at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Burapha University, Chonburi
(2) Tourism and Community Development, at the Wang Nuea District Community Development Office, Lampang
(3) Environmental Education, at Map Ta Phut Phan Pithayakhan School, Rayong; and Phanom Thuan Chanupatham School, Kanchanaburi
(4) Japanese Language Education, at Triamudomsuksa Pattanakarn Ubon Ratchathani School
(5) Science Education, at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School, Lopburi
(6) Welfare for Persons with Disabilities, at Nonthaburi Special Education Center
(7) Nutrition, at Nonthaburi Provincial Public Health Office
(8) Social Worker, at Makarak Hospital, Kanchanaburi
