On 11 September 2025, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Thailand Office, jointly presided over the Handover Ceremony of nine (9) Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs) held at TICA, Government Complex.

At the ceremony, the JOCVs were handed over to (1) Ministry of Education; (2) Ministry of Social Development and Human Security; (3) Ministry of Tourism and Sports; (4) Office of the Basic Education Commission; and (5) Office of the Vocational Education Commission.

The JOCVs in the ceremony will work for 2 years, in these 7 fields which will expand knowledge and skill for Thai officer and youth, and also promote people-to-people connectivity:

(1) Japanese Language Education, at Surasakmontree School,Bangkok, and Saiyokmaneekan Witthaya School, Kanchanaburi;
(2) Youth Activities, at Ban Thongpoon Phaophanat Center for Empowerment and Vocational Development for Persons with Disabilities, Ubon Ratchatani;
(3) Community Development, at Pa Sakae Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Suphan Buri;
(4) Softball, at Softball Association of Thailand, Bangkok and Rayong Witthayakom School, Rayong;
(5) Environmental Education, at Rangsit Science Centre for Education, Pathum Thani;
(6) Mechanical Engineering, at Rayong Technical College, Rayong;
(7) Public Health, at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Chiang Mai.
