On 24 August 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director - General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, together with Mr. Jesada Katavetin, Thai Ambassador to Lao PDR, Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Consul General, Sawannakhet and Thai delegation, was welcomed by Mr. NAGASE Toshio, Chief Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Lao Office on the occasion of visiting JICA’s/Luang Prabang Project for “Capacity Enhancement for Sustainable World Heritage Management and Preservation in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR (CEML)” at National Museum.

Mrs. Ureerat also held discussions with Mr. NAGASE Toshio and Ms. Soudaphone KHOMTHAVONG, Director of the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Luang Prabang Province (DoICT) regarding the possible collaboration between TICA JICA and DoICT on trilateral cooperation in capacity building for tourism and environmental sectors in Luang Prabang where Thailand can share its expertise and experience by dispatching Thai experts to the projects.

Mr. NAGASE and Ms. Soudaphone expressd their appreciation to Mrs. Ureerat for the visit and wish for the collaboration with TICA in the near future.
