On 24 August 2026, Miss Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division (Opening Ceremony), and on 4 September 2026, Miss Pin Sridurongkatum, Secretary of the Department (Closing Ceremony), represented Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) on "Enhancing Disability-Inclusive Employment and Business (DIEB) in Asia and the Pacific Region" under Thailand-Japan Technical Cooperation framework. In this regards, Mr. Piroon Laismit, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD), and Mr. Sakudo Shunsuke, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand Office, also presided over the ceremonies at the Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana.

The said TCTP course was jointly organized under a three-year trilateral cooperation framework (2026–2029) among TICA, JICA, and APCD. For this year, the training took place from 24 August – 4 September 2026, featuring 32 participants from the Asia-Pacific region, including India, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Thailand. The objective was to promote Disability-Inclusive Employment and Business (DIEB) and to develop Action Plans to drive DIEB implementation across countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

In this occasion, TICA representatives delivered remarks and congratulated the participants, while expressing appreciation to JICA and APCD for their active roles as co-organizers and development cooperation partners. The representatives also emphasized the importance of connecting persons with disabilities to equal and inclusive opportunities in employment and business to foster sustainable economic and social development without leaving anyone behind, and reaffirmed the commitment to partnering with JICA and APCD to promote and  drive forward equal and inclusive empowerment for persons with disabilities.
