On 4 November 2024 Privy Councilor General Kampanat Ruddit, Chairman of the Royal Project Foundation Executive Board presided over the opening ceremony online of the International Workshop on the Sustainable Highland Arabica Coffee Industry Development. On this occasion, Mrs. Pimwadee Sovaratanapong, Deputy Director-General, Acting Director-General, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) also delivered welcome address online.

This workshop is organized by the Royal Project Foundation in collaboration with the Highland Research and Development Institute (HRDI) the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili and TICA from 4 – 7 November 2024 at Chanaka Dhibesra Damri, the Royal Project Agricultural Research and Development Center, Chiangmai province. The objectives of the workshop are sharing knowledge and experiences on promoting arabica coffee as a cash crop, and to provide participants with knowledge on coffee plantation under the conservation system, emphasizing income generation, highland natural resources, environmental conservation and sustainability, included to establish the Coffee Research and Development Network. A total 17 participants are from the The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Timor-leste, private sectors and the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili.
