TICA led diplomats from Myanmar on a visit to a royal project and grand palace

On 14 September 2023, Thailand International Cooperation Agency led new diplomats from Myanmar on a visit to Huai Sai Royal Development Study Centre, Phet Buri province. The main purposes of this centre are environmental rehabilitation by forest restoration, finding water resources and let people in this area to protect the forest. Then they received benefit from the forest together with earn their incomes from agriculture. This centre is a one stop service centre for ones who want to study in many sectors. On this occasion,  the new diplomats from Myanmar visited 3 learning stations that are sugar cane juice production, vetiver grass plantation and biochar production. They are interested in vetiver grass plantation for soil improvement because they can apply to Myanmar context which faces the same problem as Thailand.

On 15 September 2023 TICA led the new diplomats from Myanmar on a cultural visit at the grand palace and the temple of the Emerald Buddha. The palace officer helped guiding and educating them about the places. They expressed their faith in the Emerald Buddha and showed their highly interested in murals and construction of the Grand palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha. During lunchtime, they express their impression of the workshop both in classroom and study visit and hope Thailand International Cooperation Agency will organize this kind of workshop again in the future.
