TICA organizes a study visit on bamboo development and community development through agriculcutral practices based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP)

On 3 February 2024 Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) organized a study visit on bamboo development and community development through agriculcutral practices based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for staff of Tshar Institute under Taranaya Foundation and the officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Bhutan.

In the morning, Bhutan delegates and TICA officials visited Institute of Bamboo for Nations, Rangsit University to learn about bamboo architecture and product design. In the afternoon, the delegates visited Thorkaichon Co,Ltd. to learn how to select bamboo for construction and design.

Then the delegates visited Ban Bang Rao Nok, Bang, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi to learn about the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Community Development, implementation of OTOP program, Nontaburi local weaving, waste management. Besides, the delegates had an oportunity to expereince community based tourism by visiting ancient house aged over 100 years and experiencing community craft workshop including making pandan roses and Mahot paper mobiles. During the study trip, the delegates showed their interest by asking many questions and actively participate all activities.
