Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) collaborated with the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H The Princess Mother, during 21-28 September 2013 in Dhaka, the People's Republic of Bangladesh, delivering a prosthetic mobile clinic, and medical team, prosthetists  and staff involved to give aid to the victims of  building (Rana Plaza) collapse in Savar, by providing prosthetic legs to  disabled and general public for 97 people.

On 21 September 2013, Mrs. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, gave an opportunity to Ms. Madurapochana Ittarong, Ambassador of Thailand, and the Foundation’s   team to call on her. On this occasion, she expressed gratitude to the Government of Thailand, in particular to Ms.Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister, in delivering the Foundation’s team to help the Bangladeshi disabled.  This indicated  the “commitment”  of the Thai side, resulting from the discussion between the two ladies during the 2nd Round of Asia and the Pacific Water Summit at Chiang Mai which Bangladesh showed interest in the science of artificial leg and requested the Thai side to distribute knowledge concerning prostheses  to the National  Institute  of  Traumatology and  Orthopedic  Rehabilitation  (NITOR) to assist the development of prosthetics  of Bangladesh.

Thailand and Bangladesh have a good relationship for a period of time and mutually assist each other in case one country  is affected by disaster.  In 2011, Bangladesh donated money to help Thai people from flooding.
