On 10th July 2014, Ms. Suchada Thaibunthao, Director-General of TICA, co-chaired with Mr. LyTou Bouapao, Deputy Minister, and Assoc. Dr. Seesamorn Sidthiraduangsa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR, in the handover ceremony of Laboratory Building, Institute of Science Education. The representatives of Lao PDR expressed appreciation to the Thai government for providing laboratory which will benefit the education system of Lao PDR as a production unit for electronic teaching media for students and as knowledge transferring center of electronic teaching media production for teachers.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Lao PDR handed over the certificate to TICA in recognition of its support. The ceremony was publicized through TV and newspapers of Lao PDR.
On 11th July 2014, Ms. Suchada Thaibunthao, Director-General of TICA, jointly presided over the handover ceremony of office supplies: 10 computers, 4 printers, and 4 file cabinet shelves, to the Thai-Lao Joint Commission, Asia, Pacific and Africa Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR. Mr. Alounkeo Kittikhoun, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lao PDR, honorably attended the ceremony, along with Mr. Mai Sayavongs, Director-General of Asia, Pacific and Africa Department who was the receiver of the equipment.
TICA’s DG was interviewed and taped in “Suksa Kajai” program, which is a TV program about education broadcasting in Lao PDR by the Information and Communication Technology Center for Education and Sports, on the issue of “The implementation of Thai-Lao Technical Cooperation”.
On this occasion, TICA’s DG headed Thai delegation to pay a courtesy call on Mr. Alounkeo Kittikhoun, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR. The Deputy Minister congratulated the development and the extension of the cooperation between Thailand and Lao PDR, and expressed his gratitude to the Thai government for development cooperation, especially in human resources, to Lao PDR.
