During 5th- 25th September 2014, Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Deputy Director-General of TICA, attended the Seminar on Official Development Assistance (ODA) for Officials from ASEAN countries in 2014 organized by Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) under the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of China, along with staff concerned at Beijing, China.
 
The MOFCOM which is the main agency in formulating policy on official development assistance (ODA) invited agencies involved in ODA from ASEAN member countries to participate in this seminar. The seminar focused on evolution of China’s ODA, current ODA policy and implementation, future approach in China’s ODA. China will increase grant aid by targeted on least developed country (LDCs), focus on implementing projects on quality of life, support access to public services, develop the capability of recipients to become self-reliance in long term by highlighted on implementing human resources development cooperation with partner countries, promote the participation of partner countries in assistance projects to increase employment and income of local people, improve assistance management system to increase efficiency of budget efficiency and effectiveness of development assistance to target group in recipient country, enhance cooperation and share experience with developing country in other region according to foreign policy strategy and the strengthening of economic cooperation under the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
