On 26 April 2016, Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Director - General Thailand International Cooperation Agency attended the official handover ceremony of a new building to high school in Viengxay, Houaphanh province. This occasion was co-chaired by Mr. Noppadon Theppitak, Ambassador of Thailand to Vientiane and Mr. Vansai Paengsoumma, Houaphanh Governor as well as joined by Mr. Suvit Simasakul, President of Thai – Laos Friendship Association, Mr. Pusone Thammavilai, Deputy Governor of Houaphanh, Mr. Thongsi Inthapon, Former Deputy Chief of International relations, central of party and Mr. Jaturong Bunnag, President of Thailand-Laos Business Council (TLBC).
This project is supported by Thailand International Cooperation Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand under technical cooperation framework between Thailand and Lao PDR, which are requested by Laos government and Houaphanh province. This project is comprised of (1) to support the construction of school building with restroom, an improvement of school landscape and environment surrounding such as fences building, drainage ditches, entrance gate, defensive line of soil erosion, included an electrical and water systems improvement to high school in Viengxay, Houaphanh province (2) to support of 30 computers with tables and chairs (3) to support the training course/study visit in luncheon program for teacher’s elementary school in Houaphanh province (4) to support the training course of usage and computer reparation.
The building is marked to celebrate an occasion of the 40thanniversary of Lao PDR (on December, 2015) and represented in well relationship of both governments.
