Between 20 - 23 February 2023, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (Public Organization) (DASTA) met with the Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Lao PDR (MICT) to discuss the development of the project on Community - Based Ecotourism. On this occasion, the above - mentioned parties conducted a site visit in four villages in Feuang district, namely Ban Sam Muean, Ban Na Mai, Ban Na Muang, and Ban Non Hin Hae, and also met with Mr. Khampheth Chansomphou, Governor of Feuang district, community leaders, villagers, and relevant local enterprises to discuss the project and to hear the policy and direction of tourism development in Feuang. The project is under Three - Year Thailand - Lao PDR Development Cooperation Pragramme (2023 – 2025), Trade Industry and Tourism sector, Development of Tourism programme, and aims to develop community - based ecotourism communities and responsible tourism in Feuang district, Vientiane Province, Lao PDR.
